FRANKLIN

Chris and Ken were introduced to Buttermilk Sky Pies by their son and daughter-in-law. “They kept bringing various Buttermilk Sky Pies to family get togethers. They even had Buttermilk Sky Pies for the groom’s table at their wedding reception.”  Chris and Ken were so impressed with the Buttermilk Sky branding and pie quality they decided to check into getting a Buttermilk Sky Pie franchise.  Two years later, they own two shop locations (Franklin & Murfreesboro) and our first Pie Truck! 

The Smiths wanted to start a family business, and they have successfully fulfilled that goal.  With two shops and the pie truck, it is a good thing they have a large family!  Their daughters-in-law, Miranda and Kate (who introduced them to Buttermilk Sky Pie), are General Manager and bookkeeper respectively.  Their son, Sean, is the lead baker in Franklin.  Another son, Josh, was integral in finding and preparing the pie truck.  He continues to help with any issues that might come up.  The rest of the kids and grandkids are very eager taste testers!

Community involvement runs deep with the Smiths.  Chris loves the relationships she has developed and believes strongly in knowing the people in the Community.  Their shops are regular participants in our Pie It Forward Program, supporting a wide array of deserving non-profit organizations.
