If you like chocolate, then we’ve got a sweet treat for you with our Chocolate Meringue Pie! Made purely and simply with a rich chocolate cream filling, this pie is always a favorite.
We start with slow cooking our chocolate filling on the stovetop for nearly an hour, stirring and stirring until it reaches the perfect consistency. And, one thing that pie-making has taught us is that a good cooked filling requires a little patience and a lot of persistence. We make our filling by hand so you’ll have the creamiest and freshest chocolate nestled in our traditional flaky crust.
After we fill the pie, we pipe and swirl our special Italian meringue over it. Finally, we peak the meringue like Grandma used to, and toast it in the oven for a few minutes. After it has cooled and chilled in the cooler, the creamy filling tastes like a rich chocolate pudding while the smooth Italian meringue almost melts in your mouth.
Just like our I-40 Pie, Granny’s Apple Pie, and Buttermilk Pie, you can enjoy our Chocolate Meringue Pie throughout the whole year! So don’t worry, you won’t have to say goodbye and make any sad pie eyes for this chocolate pie. All you have to do is leave your tin clean.
